The Natori clan's wishes are appreciated. I can't say that I am happy to have seen two birthdays in an ayakashi realm, but I do hope I can count on your assistance in order to not make it a third.

Ah. I suppose I shouldn't be surprised that they'd take the opportunity to "celebrate." Is it the same sort of thing as when we arrived?

No, not in my experience. At least, certainly not akin to what I recall.

It was a strange present indeed, but I wouldn't say it was bad.

I wouldn't say my initial gift was "bad" either. Excessive, maybe, but more useful than some of the other things I've heard about.

[Aside from the note that had come with it, but that was only to be expected from an ayakashi trying to establish dominance.]

What did you get? Either initially or for your birthday, I suppose.

Ah, but in hindsight perhaps that is a little similar to that pile of fan gifts? I don't think the chocolates were because I have a fan, but perhaps because I am such a good customer. Not much use to you, I'm afraid.

But on that note, you should be wary of any such gifts from the resort. As you can imagine they are often charmed- not just foods, but objects as well may bear curses. Clothing, sexual implements, and the like should be checked for traces of tampering before using.

Ayakashi are capable of many things, hm? There are a number of beasts floating about with human-like appearances. Although most of them do not really hide it.
