Natsume Yuujinchou is a series dealing with youkai, Japanese folklore, spirits, kami, and the intermingling of humans with them. Specifically, the Matoba are a clan of exorcists, raised for generations with strong spiritual senses and knowledge of creatures and techniques dealing with spirits.
Generally, in-series, humans with spiritual power are referred to as "able to see". Either "youkai" or "ayakashi" are specifically used to refer to Japanese folklore spirits in the series, though "ayakashi" is more common and I'll be leaning towards using that. Spirits bound to the service of an exorcist are referred to as "shiki".
As Matoba has a strong spiritual ability and the ability to sense the abnormal (and is also the manipulative sort of character to prey upon this), please let me know if there is anything I should know about your character and anything you'd like to opt in/out of regarding the following:

Human, but has a second soul inside him. The soul belongs to an elf, so it probably feels mostly human but maybe a little 'off' and a bit more powerful. It's dormant at the moment. Also there's teeny traces of curse energy lingering on him, probably.

He can control mana. I'm handwaving that he can see spiritual presences to a degree, but without perfect clarity since mana and spiritual energy aren't exactly 1:1. Happy to fudge details in whatever direction would be more fun to play!

He has a book strapped to his belt that's linked to his soul, so it probably has the same spiritual signature as him. Also he creates trees using magic, but they have the potential to 'connect worlds' so they probably ping as feeling spiritually stronger.

Jun is human-ish! His power does come from a god, but it's not clear if he's actually possessed or was just blessed with some of the power. Jun ain't telling either, as Seal Knights are EXTREMELY closed lipped about what they are.

EXTREMELY SO, YES. His spirit sense is very strong, making him able to pick up on things that even normal people with spirit sense can't. Also yeah more than able to harness his spiritual power.

He keeps it in hammer space most of the time, but Jun has a holy sword that is a special holy powered artifact. It's said that only Seal Knights are capable of wielding it, so I imagine just touching it would hurt.

UNFORTUNATELY...I can only say "sometimes". Seal Knights are very secretive about their identity, so they're able to hide their powers very well. Like Jun hangs out with other people with spirit senses, and none of them could pick up on what he was for months.
So I'll say that when Jun is acting like a normal teenager (wearing street clothes and what not), he probably feels like a total normie. The only indication that something is weird is there's a marking on his upper arm - but he tends to keep that covered at all times.
When he's in his Seal Knight uniform (or I indicate otherwise) however, feel free to be able to pick up on that! His power level is somewhere in the "aw shit" range because again, god powered.

Go for it! I cannot promise answers for Jun is not afraid to say no and leave a conversation if he feels it's not someone's business....which is 95% of the time.

Yes, Flat perception abilities are comparable to those of a Servant. In other words, he can sense others from a far away distance, their energies, and what they are, too. This sight seems to extend all the way to some form of clairvoyance, or something that manfiests similarly. He can also control mana, which isn’t exactly spiritual energy but.... it sure is energy. And he does it very, very well, while also having a seemingly inexhaustible amount of mana as well.

Flat’s rather capable at masking/hiding his mana, to the point that he can pass as a regular human/very weak mage even under the scrutny of multiple magical layers. There will be times when the other half will rear its head for a blip—that can definitely be sensed as something that’s... off. Imagine dipping into the Uncanny Valley for a second, or something like that.

Absolutely! But it will have some negative consequences for Matoba if he pushes too far and either heavily injures Flat or kills him. And by some I mean that Matoba will most likely die.

Yes to the first question. Hide is a half-yokai and therefore radiates demonic energy on a slightly more subtle scale compared to a full-blooded yokai.

Yes and yes. Hide can understand the language of yokai, even the very old tongue spoken by the Three Great Yokai of Japanese legend. She is also able to steal a yokai's soul once defeated, temporarily granting her some of their abilities when called upon. (Leaping flight attack from Tengu soul, imbuing weapons with elemental power from Oni-bi soul, etc)

Yes. Hide is the current wielder of Sohayamaru - a sacred sword made from soul stones. Basically purified souls of the dead that have been forged into metal.

Heck yeah! He'll have to be sneaky and/or very observant - Hide is incredibly secretive about her nature and capabilities.

ABSOLUTELY. He might find some of his spells aren't quite as effective on her as other yokai, but she will also be vulnerable to things normal humans wouldn't even notice in the first place.

Judar can use his eyes to sense more about internal spiritual ability, along with magical/special artifacts. Technically, he can harness spiritual powers, but because spirit energy goes right into world/ambient energy, he would have to learn about the spiritual stuff. His bigger thing is how energy acts around him.
